Rodgers throws six TDs as Packers rout Texans

Photo: AP

Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers finally put it all together.

The reigning MVP set a career high and tied a franchise record with six touchdown passes and the Packers played their best game of their so far inconsistent season, beating previously unbeaten Houston 42-24 on Sunday night.

Jordy Nelson caught three touchdown passes and James Jones had two, including a beautiful, diving one-hander in the fourth quarter for the Packers (3-3). Tom Crabtree had the other, a 48-yarder that Rodgers threw just before taking a hit from Texans' outside linebacker Brooks Reed... read more

Jon Jay makes great grab in Cards win (Video)

  (Getty Images)

The Tuesday morning headlines in St. Louis will deservedly go to the Cardinals offense after it blasted its way to a 12-4 romp over Washington in Monday's NLDS Game 2.

But thanks to Jon Jay's defense, those four homers will have to share some space. And Jay's great catch of Danny Espinosa's deep fly ball to center field in the sixth inning makes for some worthy company. He covered a huge amount of ground, showed zero concern for his own safety by going into the wall full speed and quite literally flashed his leather to somehow reel in Espinosa's drive... read more

The Story of Tyler Farnham

Captain Tyler Farnham of Brevard County Ocean Rescue is a present day miracle. By all accounts he should have perished on April11th of 2009. On a routine parachute jump with his mother aboard he disembarked the plane at 14,000 feet only to have his chute malfunction at 3000 feet and put him into a spiral dive at a height of 700 feet. The chances of survival at this height are basically nil but Tyler managed to target some soft ground only yards from the hard surfaced drop zone. The impact was catastrophic according to the attending physicians, comparable to a bomb explosion to his body... read more

One-Armed 10-Year-Old Swimming Champion

Ben blew by the competition at the El Paso, Texas, city swimming championships July 14 and 15 to take home a gold medal in the 25-yard butterfly and the individual medley. He also received two bronze medals in team events.

But the shocking part is that he did it all with only one arm.

Ben was born in China with only one arm, according to his mother Cindy Ramirez. Ramirez, a single mother of three, adopted him from China when he was 3 years old.

Top 5 Defensive Linemen in 2012 NFL Draft

In the game of football, whoever controls the line of scrimmage wins more games than they lose. In any defensive front, the game of football starts up front with the big men on the defensive line; they set the tone. Their ability to control and dominate the line of scrimmage is the key to the any defensive formation. When grading defensive linemen, I divided them into five categories: 4-3 DE (defensive end), 3-4 DE (defensive end), DT (defensive tackle), NT (nose tackle) and DPR (designated pass rusher).

DE (defensive ends) in the 4-3 defense defend the edges of the defensive line... read more
