Rocket Sports Media Research has learned that a study conducted by Recommend.ly on Facebook Page traffic volumes across a sample of 500 Facebook Pages has revealed significant changes in fan behaviour and interactions. The research was conducted across two distinct time periods; pre-Timeline and post-Timeline switch-over and represented small to medium Brand Pages, with an average fan count of 19,269.

University of Missouri first-year head men's basketball coach Frank Haith added another piece of hardware to the Tiger trophy case Friday, as he was recognized as the Associated Press College Basketball Coach of the Year. The award was presented to Haith on Friday morning in New Orleans at an AP awards ceremony.

The award marks the second national coaching honor received this week by Haith, who was earlier named the recipient of the 2011-12 Henry Iba Coach of the Year Award, presented annually by the U.S. Basketball Writers Association. The Kansas Jayhawks employed the Triangle and Two against North Carolina for multiple reasons:

1.  Jeff Withey and Thomas Robinson were in foul trouble.

In what’s believed to be a pro sports first, the NHL’s Boston Bruins announced on Monday the launch of a media property uniting all of the team’s social, digital and mobile efforts under one umbrella.

The Boston Bruins Digital Entertainment Network (DEN) essentially functions as a portal to the team’s social presence on sites from Facebook to Pinterest, a gateway to its mobile app, and a home for video and other digital content offerings.

LAWRENCE, Kan. – Kansas junior forward Thomas Robinson was a unanimous selection to the Associated Press All-America First Team, while senior guard Tyshawn Taylor picked up third team honors it was announced Monday.

Robinson is the first unanimous selection since Oklahoma’s Blake Griffin in 2009. The 6-10 Robinson is averaging 17.7 points and 11.8 rebounds this season and he was a first-team pick by all 65 members of the national media panel that selects the weekly Top 25.
